Var was way beyond panic now. Running had become his sole mission in life. His focus: putting one foot in front of the other, because if he didn't, if he somehow failed to keep running, he was surely dead. He knew those ... those /things/ were behind him, hunting him. He had been running for what felt like days, though it could only have been an hour at the most: the night was still in full swing. Always in a straight line, never faltering, never resting. Not a single branch moved as the creatures marched through the woods, their lithe forms bending and distorting in ways that defied logic. They made not the slightest of sound, here and gone before more than a glimpse could be had. Then - without warning - they all vanished from sight, returning the forest to the peaceful quiet of night. When I opened my eyes I saw utter blackness. One cannot really see blackness, so I surmised that either I was blind or it was simply too dark to see. I was lying on my stomach, my arms and legs sprawled clumsily on the floor, or surface, or whatever it was I was on. Ghost StoriesThis is not a good ghost story. There are no zombies or vampires, no werewolves, no cold or disembodied hands, and no walls that ooze blood. It’s not scary or horrible. Listening to: 'Sex Type Thing' - Stone Temple Pilots

From way too much free time to sleep-eat-work-repeat in seconds flat. It's a viscious cycle, but it should be almost over. I've just got a little bit to get sorted out with an apartment lease and finding a job in a state I don't live in while still balancing my current job on top of a little writing commision work. On the bright side, if I find a job that pays well enough, I might not have to lease the apartment at all - and I can work my way towards earning in-state tuition at Purdue at the same time.

Just wanted to let anyone curious know what's goin' on with me right now. I know both Padrang and mudness have things up for me to read ... and I'm sorry guys, I'll get to them soon. I haven't broken anything important, so I shouldn't be gone a whole year this time.
